Vannes and the surrounding area are a real treat for the eyes and the lungs. Take a plunge into the heart of the Morbihan countryside and breathe in the fresh Breton air on the Rhuys peninsula. It's just a 30-minute drive away. Start by visiting the island of Tascon and then the Lasné salt marshes. Then head for the pointe de Penvins.

Continue on to Sarzeau, where the large Landrezac beach is by far the most popular, but don't forget to explore the many surrounding coasts, including Beg Lann, Kerfontaine and Roaliguen.
You're sure to come across the beach at Suscinio, where you'll find a splendid castle dating back to the Middle Ages.
The port of Crouesty, known for its many shops and restaurants, offers free concerts and shows in summer.
Take a stroll along the beaches of Port-Navalo, at the tip of the town, to discover some magical spots that will allow you to admire the Gulf from another angle.
